Some links on Techbro Travels are affiliate links. If you click one and make a booking or purchase, I earn a small commission — at no extra cost to you. The price you pay is exactly the same as if you had gone to the site directly.

The one rule that matters

I only link to things I have personally done, stayed in, or used.

If a post recommends a hot air balloon operator, it’s because I flew with them. If it links to a hotel, it’s because I slept there. I don’t link to tours I haven’t taken, hotels I haven’t stayed in, or services I haven’t used — no exceptions. If I can’t vouch for it from personal experience, it doesn’t get a link.

  • Affiliate links look like any other link. Some are marked with a note like “(affiliate link)” when it helps clarity.
  • Commissions typically range from a few percent of the booking value up to 20–40% depending on the partner (hotels, tours, insurance).
  • I earn from bookings made through these links whether you use them the same day or weeks later (most partner programs use a tracking cookie of 14–30 days).
  • Cost data in my posts is never adjusted to favor an affiliate. If a place is expensive, I say so — that’s the whole point of this blog.

Programs I participate in

Viator (a Tripadvisor company) — tours and activities booked through Viator links on this site earn me an 8% commission on completed bookings. Tracking and payouts are handled by Partnerize; their cookie window is 30 days. Details: Viator’s affiliate terms.

A note on tours I haven’t done

Where I link to a bookable tour, it’s because I personally did that activity (or an equivalent from the same category that the post is actually about — e.g., the hot air balloon flight I took in Cappadocia). I don’t embed “related tours” widgets or link to experiences I haven’t had, even when a platform makes it easy to. If a post links a tour, the post is about that experience.

What this doesn’t change

  • Rankings, price breakdowns, and verdicts are written before any monetization is considered.
  • Nothing on this site is sponsored or paid placement. If that ever changes, it will be disclosed inline, in the same clear way.
  • No post is written because a company asked for it. Brands don’t get input, previews, or approval over my content.

This disclosure is provided in line with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR Part 255 (Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising): affiliate relationships are disclosed clearly and conspicuously on every page where they appear, and every endorsement reflects my genuine, first-hand experience.
